but if I gotta be specific let's start with the plot, post apocalyptic plot which doesnt focus most on outdoor survival but more indoors research and military, and the authorities within the base. I LOVE THE PLOT + THE MYSTERY THAT IS IN CHAEPALI'S WORKS. But also the character dynamic IS ABOUSOLUTELY TO DIE FOR. they start off not liking each other and finding each other annoying and SLOWLY BECOMES OBSSESED AND I MEAN OBSSESED. THE TENSION IS SO STRONG THAT EVEN THEM LOOKING AT ONE ANOTHER HAS ME SQUEALING. MAJOR KWAK WHO IS THE GUARDIAN OF RAINBOW CITY top of the military is so mean and yet at times when he needs to be is so soft towards Dr.Seokhwa despite the fact that Dr.Seok showed rebel ideals towards the city. AND DR.SEOKHWA who cant express his emotions and is only obssesed with rocks due to being a mutant made by the city to counter the virus, IS SO HONEST WITH MAJOR KWAK. I'M TALKING HE TELLS MAJOR KWAK EVERYTHING AND TRUST THAT MAN despite knowing Major kwak and kill him if he revealed his rebel ideals and STILL HE DOES IT ANYWAYS. WHEN DR.SEOK GETS BITTEN BY AN ADAM (zombie), Major Kwak was supposed to kill him as part of his job as an elite officer and yet did his best to nurse him back to health. HE'S SOMETIMES HARSH TOWARDS HIM BUT ONLY BECAUSE HE CARES SO MUCH FOR DR.SEOK AND IF YOU REALLY ANALYSE THE PLOT YOU'D REALIZE THAT MMOST OF HIS ACTIONS THAT SEEMS HARSH, HE DID THEM BECAUSE HE CARED. HE DID THEM BECAUSE IF HE DIDN'T THE CITY WOULDVE KILLED DR.SEOK. AND EVERYTIME THEY REUNITE NO MATTER HOW LITTLE OR A LOT OF TIME PASSED, THE EMOTION IS THERE, IT'S THERE. AUSDFHFSUOSHUOHHUGOGR

Ha ha the hype is exactly made by this person only i think lol. prettymensupremacy has been VERY active at advertising this manhwa lol : -D _ well it's a very good slow burn , i really love slow burns with a good tango in it. !! (A slow burn with sexual tension is always A+ !!! )
(I like No Moral or Payback and Semantic Error too!) _ for me , it's one of the good BL with plot that i know of, without troublesome toxicity . I love those yummy elements of politic fiction / mystery type of plots , i also particularly enjoy the post- apocalyptic genre. So Rainbow City feels great for all those reasons! It's thrilling without being gory/scary/gruesome/toxic. _
it's not the only story that has a great plot with that trope but i recognize that one captivates me. i really like Rainbow City too !! :-) _ just as i liked Blood Bank, Liveta, A Painter Behind the Curtain (that one is historical with political elements), or Believe My Sign, and Kiss the Abyss, they are all refreshing and interesting without any troublesome toxicity + the art and the emotionnal delivery are great so it's totally a feel good read for me !! And will definitely be a reread !! :-)
