You took slaves from conquest or from poorest ppl and it was normal to punish unruly slaves. She didnt ser anything wrong with it. This is what you don't get it. I agree. That whole historically accurate shit is why I dropped Tate no Yuusha and all those inappropriate age gap stories. I was going to see where this is going because her character is still new but I don’t like how so many people came rushing to defend her for that.
Like someone said this is a STORY and the author could have chosen to not include that. The same way they chose to depict a highly unusual situation where a noble woman not only fought but led war efforts; then also became queen.
