Yes it’s such a stark contrast! The main pairings are just like “I like this person because feelings, but oh no circumstances are getting in the way, so I guess I’ll just flail about until we somehow end up together with outside assistance”, and the energy here is like “I am completely feral for this person and I need them in my life” even though it was mostly smut. Even comparing it to sex scenes from the main pairing, the chemistry is much stronger and more dynamic here
