I think it is. As much as I was glad to see him die, I did feel for him. He became twisted because he was lonely. Hopefully he is reborn and lives a long life. Of course after he pays his penance for all the murder and mayhem. I still can't forgive him murdering the little girl spirit right before she was to be reincarnated.
