Pisses me off

How the ML keeps seeing MC’s new reincarnation as Shen only, he doesn’t really mention Jiu Jiu (Shen’s reincarnation). Yes, they’re the same people, but I wish his other names would be mentioned. It feels strange.

And in CH 68, why did he throw that bun away? Ugh!

ML chose to be with MC who will be mentally handicapped, then he treats him like ass? In CH 69, MC, mentally handicapped reincarnation, said:

“Yi Mo, I like you.”

ML raised him and now, he flung MC down and word for word: “What right does a dummy have to say it?”

And ML keeps comparing his new reincarnation with his past self names, Shen and Jiu Jiu. MC is now Liu Yan, have some respect! The ML never learns, huh?
ML even said that he wouldn’t care about him if MC didn’t have that birthmark on his chest (the red birthmark is from MC’s previous reincarnation Jiu Jiu)

“Since he’s a dumb fool who took over his heart, he deserves to be hurt.” — What Bull shit logic is this? YOU chose to take him in, raised him, then treat him like ass and compare him to his past selves.

Because MC was so distraught that ML doesn’t like him, he gouged out the red birthmark. He didn’t want to be seen as someone else. Honestly, fuck the ML. But I’m also surprised he apologized after seeing that, as he should, but it’s stated in the story that ML had never apologized to Shen or Jiu Jiu, this is his first apology.

Finally he apologized, even if it’s late and in the third lifetime of MC. “He’s never said that to Shen Qingxuan or Jiu Jiu.”

And ML also cried afterwards, first time.

In conclusion, ML is a demon and I should’ve expected him to be less human like since he’s cold hearted many times and trashy. He’s a different species, not a human being, he will not love or let go easily.

ML told MC that he’s nothing without his red birthmark, but then his monologue says (Ch 70): “It is just some kind of mark. Nothing will change even if it’s no longer there.”— THEN SAY THAT TO HIM, NOT JUST IN YOUR MIND! OF course MC won’t know!

And I don’t like this whole: Bad person Jiu Jiu and Good person Shen Qingxuan.

But in next chapter ML told dummy MC: “Jiu Jiu is a good person too.”— Oh thank god!

Did MC steal the wedding veil from the lady in the carriage, because he wanted to marry ML? Lmao this just shows that Shen is still within him, he is him in a way, because Shen was the one who wanted to desperately marry ML (1st lifetime).

I’m somewhat glad to see ML visiting Jiu Jiu’s grave as well, because ML didn’t treat him well in the 2nd lifetime. He slept next to him in his casket and returned Jiu Joy’s soul or something into something, then said “Let’s go home.” —I think he is letting go(?)

I’m cackling at how the adopted son collected all the snakes on the mountain and relocated them, just so his rutting snake father wouldn’t mate with other snakes who aren’t MC. And MC is pouring water on the ML who’s rutting, “You are mine.”

But other than that, it’s actually said that MC is trying to stop ML from potentially cheating by mating. Next chapter he let the ML snake go after ML bit him on the neck, he gave up there. Next chapter, ML did come back, I wonder if he mated with other snakes while he was out?

I’d also like to mention how special Uncle Xiu (Taoist) is, as he’s been by the main couple and their adopted son’s side for centuries iirc. He stated that he used to like someone, it was the bunny lady. Unfortunately, she got killed and only when it was too late did Taoist realize he liked her. And Taoist was genuinely worried that ML, snake form, would go off with another snake and leave his good friend MC, so the Taoist SACRIFICED his own life to turn ML into a human. Both ML and MC aged and lived happily with their son.

I hope Taoist finds the bunny and gets his own happy ending!

At the very least, I am glad that MC in his third life time, Liu Yuan, has gotten the memories from his first (Shen) lifetime, and his second (Jiu Jiu) lifetime.

Now what? I’m supposed to be happy? In the end, ML and MC lived like old couple until their hair turned white but they still forgave each other when arguing, their memories forever enlisted in their heart, forever on even after their death. Their son cried in front of their graves, missing them dearly. And I’m glad the son found his emperor’s reincarnation, but I’m devastated to find out the emperor is cold towards him and told him to go, and pushed the son away.

In the emperor’s previous life time, he asked the son (of MC and ML) to find him when he reincarnated. He did, but now he’s like this to the son. And the son told
Him before that if he’s pushed away, he won’t beg for him. So the son just left after the emperor told him to go despite the son spending 500 years to find him.

Then, the son made his own grave and gouged out his soul I believe. The emperor saw him and ran to him, trying to stop him but it was too late and the son went to the underworld where his soul is.

And if I remember correctly, the story said that the emperor is actually a reincarnation of a god. So the emperor is a god, and that’s why he was able to see the son (of MC and ML) in the underworld.

After the son ended his own life, he met his parents (ML and MC) in the underworld.

“In this world, if someone else lets you down, there will be someone else that appreciates you.”— I think this is towards the emperor who let the son down by pushing him away. But his parents were there, waiting for him in underworld.

This story gave me hope that love would be long lasting until our hair is white.
