i have hope tho i feel like he mightve said what he said at the end as a way to encourage yamato to speak his truth so that his current friendship doesnt shrivel away like theirs did. but then again he did sound kinda disgusted so...

I think Mike is being too critical because Yamato showed clear signs that he liked Mike and that ruined his friendship with Mike. Now he's being extra careful with Yuiji because he doesn't want to ruined another friendship.

It's gross how Mike is using the nickname "Yoshi" and acting like they're still great friends when he ghosted Yamato in middle school. He's being overly familiar with Yamato and invasive with Yamato's personal life when he just got back into Yamato's life, He needs to mind his fuckin business. The guy was a homophobic asshole all long but he blames Yamato for their friendship ending then criticizes him, wtf is his problem?! I hope Mike gets some character development...
