I like it….until I didn’t

Unpopular opinion.
On my first read, I liked it ok.
Then I reread it and realized the whole thing is so wrong.
At first, Chizuru wanted nothing to do with Rin ( and rightfully so. Rin was some weirdo who forced his way into his life).
Rin is practically a stalker. When he told Chizuru he was “promised” him and Chizuru was like “I’m outs”, Rin physically stopped him from leaving by making it rain and told him straight up he wouldn’t allo him to leave. That’s basically kidnapping. Then he stayed in Chizuru’s house when Chizuru made it very clear he didn’t want him there.
In chapter 1 Chizuru straight up thinks “ he’s ignoring my feelings again” right before he tries to leave.
The whole thing just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If Rin would have dropped that bombshell on Chizuro and accepted his initial rejection and things happened organically m then ok, but he literally bulldozed his way into Chizuru’s life until he whittled away his defenses.

Like people say, no is a complete sentence and Chizuru very clearly said Heck no, and Rin just ignored his feelings.

Amen. I love that some of us are starting to realise that fiction is not just fiction but a mirror of the real world and capable of changing our values and mindset.
Good to read comments of people that value consent

Y'all like to police those kinds of thing but when murder is included in the scenario, suddenly people can distinguish fiction from reality. Like, be fr right now. Smh

I mean yes but he didn't force himself to him tho? Only the start even then he only say thing like "you're my bride" "I'll make u fall in love with me" etc. I know it is technically forceful how he still stay at his house but u gotta see it that both of them also get to know each other and in the end they actually have feeling toward each other! I think that's a good development!

Obviously in real life this won't fly, too idealistic, but this is why it's fiction isn't it? Where we can enjoy love that come fast, more easily yet it still very much without betrayal! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
