Rape is always unnecessary and disgusting. Just because it’s a terrible thing to do and experience doesn’t mean it can’t or shouldn’t be in fictional media.
I never said that rape shouldn’t be in fictional media. My issue is the lack of respect and the glorification of it in media especially mangas! You can’t casually add rape into a storyline and then not delve deeper into the struggles the victim has to face after… That’s what I meant with “unnecessary” for this particular plot. This is a six chapter manga that cannot do such a heavy topic justice!! This does not criticise your take, but I’m just giving you mine.
