Hard agree on the overwhelming aspect, but the romanticisation angle doesn’t quite fit in this case, considering the highly caricaturist nature of it. I’d go as far as to say this is the manga equivalent of shitposting, which is to say unapologetically silly, inappropriate and random for entertainment value. That sort of representation is better found at other works like Lookism or the like
I can understand some aspects of this, but there were times when it felt overwhelming. While certain characters are portrayed realistically, there are instances where their representation seems a bit over the top. Given that they are still in high school, their shota appearance is freaking me out about their inappropriate pose's and how they're drawn. Conversely, some characters appear more muscular and larger, which doesn't align with the typical appearance of most teenagers. When it comes to serious topics like sexual assault and bullying, it's important to recognize their harsh realities. Although I haven't experienced such extreme situations myself, I've heard unsettling stories from others. It's better that we don't romanticize these issues, yet the way they are depicted can still create discomfort in a different way.
