I don't know for certain, but I assumed they had more of a "sex friend" relationship rather than a committed relationship, no?

Correct. He was in love with him but he was not his boyfriend.

I thought so. But I think the guy genuinely love Jaeha. He's not a bad guy too. That makes it hard for me to fully support Eunho ╥﹏╥
