They both get something out of each other the loser college guy gets company and companionship he's craved and the criminal gets the mundane routine domestic life he's dreamed of. They only have sex in the last chapter.
"Raion Gotoki no Kuni Kara" a japnese high schooler gets an African foreign exchange student to live with. The story if fairly respectful to African culture and practices and it's written with care. Some have criticized it for having the black guy get slowly lighter skin throughout the story. They are very in love and attracted to each other it's mostly horny but it's fairly gentle and tender so it feels like they love each other.
I will always say "aitsu no daihonmei" is childhood friends, popular handsome smart athletic hot guy X short ugly loser with stuff he's bad at. It starts off very edgy BDSM yaoi but it rarely ever does accurate or "hardcore" BDSM references the most it will do is reference that a a character is an "S" or an "M". All the side characters are OHSHC levels of zany which is a contrast to the regular every day damn near slice of life boyfriends. The story really starts making these two act like boyfriends and not generic yaoi pairing at Ch21 when the short loser uggo starts confronting his boyfriend about not telling him shit about his past or filling him in. The side couples are ass except for fat guy and his childhood crush/gf. the hot tall popular guy of the main pair gets revealed to have lost his virginity to a teacher at his last school which is weird and not addressed.
