ML stands for Male Lead and MC stands for Main Character

to add on to the person above. if someone says ML/MC it could be straight or a bl depends on the context. Uke and Seme is only used for BL. also the term Uke and seme is referring to who is top or bottom in a bl. ML and MC is just who's the main character as in who the story is following and who is the male lead.
I'm pretty sure it can be use in all type of situations. Ml and mc are somewhat like uke/seme. it just tell what position the mc or ml is. You can use mc/ml in all type of situations but uke/seme are used as who is bottom or top
Really? I’ve never seen people use Seme/uke in straight manhwas. (Idk about gl) I’ve only seen it used in terms of BL. (But if you say so ig)
the other way around. I mean ppl use mc and ml in everything. It just in bl uke/seme is just the position who bottom or top which is why ppl use it. Most ppl don't use seme or uke that much is bc it just weird to refer ppl as position
