It's not the beauty attribute she raised but the charm one. If it was just beauty, it wouldn't be like this since people would be able to control themselves. Not everyone values beauty, but charm? Charm affects everyone. She basically made her self have that 'something', which is attractive to others and raised it to the max. I can't really blame her though, because she couldn't have predicted she'd get stuck in the game, she just wanted to have fun.

No, she didn't die. She simply played a vr game and got stuck in the game's world. When she raised her attributes, she didn't expect to get stuck. It's very understandable she didn't think much about the consequences because it was supposed to just be a game.

Is she naive for raising her attributes so high? No. No one blames you for being impulsive in a game because it isn't supposed to hurt you. I games you do impulsive stuff to have fun and that's completely normal.
