Mostly because he is sexy and the MC doesnt show any real sadness from all the threats/rape/manipulation.
Actually the MC himself fell in love before Ilay even started the redemption arc... so it makes it easier for our brain to think "oh well its not that big of a deal." (Especially since we know Ilay somehow love MC)
And of course, because its fiction
But it is actually weird the amount of tiktok/shorts portraying this manwha as cute/nice lmao
Dude I didn’t even get to the part where he rapes mc LOL. I forgot what chapter it was but what made me drop was when mc saw ilay and the pretty brown hair dude who mc liked (his name was “Lu”? I think) fucking. Had me flabbergasted. Like damn bro rly got cheated on by two ppl at the same time somehow
Ik they’re not in a relationship but it feels like if you were talking to someone and that person was still fucking everyone else at the same time But honestly I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else have the same opinion as me.
MC SAYS he despise Ilay but it's clear from his thoughts and actions that he isnt much hurt by it. What hurt him the most is the fact that Ilay dont like him / he got betrayed.
The assailt itself doesnt affect him much.
Yes, in real life, Ilay would be one hell of a terrifying person. But we all know Ilay will change eventually, so thats why he is quite loved.
Personally, as a character, Tauei is the one that pisses me off the most. The fact he fell in love with someone that threatened his life from day 1 and never stopped. And then he even had sex with Ilay before leaving even though he says the rape left him traumatized and with hatred... This story really does romantize rape to a high level.
I finally read this. I said I wasn’t going to, but TikTok convinced me after so many edits of ilay. Remind me, why do we like this man?
