I think cause the cousin/friend wants to get with Coros brother so he’s saying of the Mc is sick so you cant kill Coro (which was the brothers plan to get the Mc to depend and fall for him) to sabotage his plan and in the end make it fail so that Cori’s brother gets with him (the white hair friend cousin guy)
At least that’s my understanding of it
