Yes he was brainwashed. BUT, out of everyone in entire mansion Derek did the least to fix his relationship with Penelope, THAT INCLUDES the little brother, who has arguably done the most for forgiveness. Also Derek was the first one to get brainwashed, and not snap out of it, the little brother was brainwashed but quickly snapped out of it and she STILL hasn’t able to brainwash Eclis yet, meaning…either he never actually cared for/about Penelope OR he’s not completely remorseful of the things that happened to her. thats what im saying theyre blaming him when in the latest chapter it clearly shows him barely even remebering what happen. did they forget yvonne has powers? did they forget all the good stuff derrick has done just because his cold demeanor but they dont get mad at his brother who would still insult penelope a lot eckles was brainwashed too, nobody is saying anything about him!
