I so totally agree with you I feel so bad honestly when I read it I could not believe it I don't blame her at all what a s***** life she was having not only in the game version but in her life I hope that the next chapter gives her something nice

Honestly, I understand Penelope... The feeling the world is against you, and the willingness to try to see another day outweigh the pain and ordeal she has to go through day after day. Her father giving her that glimmer of hope at the last minute made her change her mind but seeing how the world she worked so hard for (the system) just flipped on her like this would make anyone go insane. I'm genuinely surprised she lasted that long, living at the edge of the world when the thought that one single mistake could crack that eggshell she is living in would make any living being batshit crazy. Honestly, Kalisto's reaction (despite the failed previous confession haha) makes me feel like she has at least one ally in that godforsaken shitty of a world. (I know the Duke and Reynold treat her better now but Yvonne can still cucko their brains smh).
