Tl;dr: They're two traumatized people stuck in a cycle. I'll complain about whichever side I can not relate to, and naturally empathize with the one I do. That's life. Stop crying about which one is "right" because they're both flawed, and we're allowed to complain about it.

Edited from a comment below because srsly you guys: It's not hard to understand that women have flaws too. They make mistakes. She's made many, and so has he. My problem is that he could have died a beast. Instead she showed up and well the story happened. She's not the saint you all pretend she. A fucked up past (putting it VERY mildly) doesn't excuse ANYTHING. New life she chooses her behavior. Trauma fucks you up. She's fucked up. She's not innocent just because trauma has led her to help traumatize someone else. Period. Neither one of them are innocent. If someone called him a dumb bastard (as someone did say he was toxic in comments) and someone would agree, but I call her a dumb bitch for how she's acting (which I call myself daily btw) and someone screams and cries about misogyny lmfao make it make sense. Humans sympathize with different fictional characters. Crying about misogyny when people have legit complaints on BOTH SIDES invalidates the argument. I don't know if I'll reply to any novels in response, I don't have the energy. But I'm tired of venting my frustration at fictional characters making people splash piss all over for something irrelevant. I love both characters, I'm mad at her for repeating the past instead of letting go like she seemed to be doing for MORE THAN HALF ThE STORY. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ Ty if you read this tl;dr.
