The shojo community is harsh with the criticism of their male lead
For me it's the tone, I can read anything, so long as the tone is portrayed properly. As in, so long as bad things are treated as such, I dont mind reading it, but when they try to portray creepy stuff as lovely fluffy stuff I get annoyed.

I don’t think it’s portrayed fluffy. It’s quite obvious that ML is manipulative. it’s “fluffy” bc the authors switches pov between ML and FL. so when FL perspective comes up, she romanticizes his actions but the audience and ML know otherwise.
No literally tho, ppl eat BL tf up and it’s the most toxic abusive ML ever but go crazy when it’s shoujo.
I read everything and I can see the difference between BL, GL and straight fandom LMAOOO. BL ppl have the lowest standards HAHA. They love everything and aren’t very harsh w their criticism. Good for them tho. It’s refreshing community but ofc their are some toxic ppl in each category
Yeah I get you, I didn't mean this specific story. I can't really tell the vibe/tone the author is going for yet tbh. I think it's clear he's bad news but going to fall eventually? I dunno. So far I'm fine with the tone here. Was only speaking more generally.

ok this manga has its issues but i'm surprised this has 8.1..there are BLs out there with wayyyyyy worse problematic shit going on but it'll have like 9.3 rating i feel like people rate way harsher with straight mangas
