You're thinking about the kowloon walled city which was demolished in '94 after hong kong reunified with the mainland, the kowloon district itself is essentially downtown hong kong though! It still very much exists
so i just noticed in the character info pages that miyako was born in kowloon district :o
wasn’t it demolished many years ago ? so is the story set in the 90s ? or does the district still exist ?
