I see other works get criticized all the time but I think the main factor as to why Jinx pops up the most is because of the popularity of Mingwa and her widely known Manhwa themselves.
You can't be into BL Manhwa without having to come across Jinx at least once in your life whether you want to or not.
From what I've seen, more than half of BL readers name BJ Alex as their first Manhwa for the genre and regard it as a classic and favorite to this day.

Even if he agreed in the beginning- it's clear Dan didn't want to do it in many of the Jinx chapters. Dan even tells jaekyung to use condoms in one of the chaps, which jaekyung chooses to ignore (that is also considered another form of rape). Dan also clearly said no to doing it in the public showers in the earlier chaps- which is another example of rape. Even if Dan agreed to the contract- it doesn't excuse the fact that Jaekyung ignored Dan's consent and comfort. Just bc he agreed in the beginning doesn't mean Jaekyung has the right to force him to uncomfortable situations and intercourse.
Yeah I agree I think it's a mixture of both popularity and bl becoming more mainstream in general on tiktok from what I've seen.

All of those are shit on a lot. The fans in the Jinx comments are more delulu though. In those other manhwa, you might find 1 in a 30 comments defending the ml, but here it's like 1 in 10 comments.
I don't understand why it's ONLY this bl getting criticized when there are hundreds if not thousands of other bl's with similar messed up themes.
