Nah it was a lazy choice but my opinion is this that the author means to use it as a plot point,since Clarice can talk to stones and they gave him stones in his face so maybe she can remove those later for him or smth.
I don't think it's gonna be used like that, but idk we'll see! I kinda agree though, everyone in the manhwa just be saying the darnedest things and calling smthn ugly when it really isn't. Just so the fl can shine and think differently from the rest. It's tiring tbh. They could've at least done a better job and find smthn that really makes her shine instead of forcing this kind of narrative over and over again
It will be really hypocritical of her if she removes them since she is babbling on how pretty his face looks with them but with these kind of manhwa you just never know (づ￣ ³￣)づ

Nope, his face ain't pretty, the artist just took a random jewel brush and painted on his face, would have looked nice if they had drawn it themselves, the blending is unnatural as some jewels seems to have gone inside his eyes in few panels and looks quite painful to have so many jewels being pressed under the mask, they could have gone for a pattern atleast, it's all random and a very bad artistic choice as the bold red doesn't go with his blue hairs and make the jewel stick out like a sore thumb.
