idk if the translation is accurate, but if it is, then seems like you got a little confused here. MC just want test the ML reaction about marriage. ML wants to marry MC, but then MC then said about people with kids together would ended up married. It all got serious when ML said that he didn't want a child and brought up about unwanted child.
