I think they will end up together unfortunately... Haruki will realize Hikaru has real feelings for him, and doesn't just want to use him as toy, and come to feel the same way...
A part of me feels like this manga will turn out this way, too... Honestly it would be such a terrible ending. If they end up together but only bc Haruki has more or less "given up" or just accepts the abuse then fine. Then its just a sad but probably realistic ending. But if it twists around to Haruki SOMEHOW falling for Hikaru, then that would not only be highly disappointing but just distasteful, even to the author.
You think Haruki, seven years after the fact, despite still CLEARLY being terrified by his brother, unable to even make eye contact, will suddenly realize he's in love?
Hey, its common in some yaoi. All of a sudden the person being raped falls in love with the rapist. Usually all it takes is a few pages of the rapist shown in a "fluffier" or "better" light, and BAM. An unrealistic couple is formed.
The problem is this manga is realistic enough to capture the depression, heart breaking, sorrow of the characters. If this manga's ending is like common 'I love you so I rape you, owh yeah, I love you too', it will be so much dissapointed, worst ending ever (and I read yaoi mangas n novels for years already).
But somehow I have a feeling that it will have dissapointing end, I hope my feeling lies to me this time.
I really hope author-san doesn't try to start fluffing the brother up and they end up together. That would make this my no.1 most disappointing manga.
