Even that was a manipulation because if you look after Jihyun gets in the car after the talk he isn't wearing the ring anymore.

Yes he was seeing if he could make Chiwoo jealous and if so than he would "give up" getting married all because he thinks he has a chance, that counts as a manipulation to me. Did I slightly feel bad for him crying like that, maybe slightly. But no way in he'll did I want Chiwoo to forgive and end up with him. Kyujin was a huge green flag and the other guy was never a choice
I just finished this and honestly I was shocked when I read that Jihyun was a favorite among fans in the note???? even before reading the author’s note it was pretty clear imp that he had SAd Chiwoo just from how shaken up and traumatized Chiwoo obviously was by him. And that’s only a part of it, because even before that happened he was actively isolating and manipulating Chiwoo. Idk the entire story I guess I just viewed him as the villain and never as an ml so I was shocked
Also I’m sure I’m not the only one that saw potential between the teacher and Jaeshin, really disappointed nothing came out of their interactions.
