BTW, if anyone is unfamiliar with the concept of suspension of disbelief (and it's role in media emotional immersion) and why it breaking can make something that was fine suddenly become repulsive:
Suspension of disbelief is when you know a piece is just art but allow yourself to get emotionally moved by it as if it's a real thing, adhering to the rules within the world-building of the story.
Once this pact is broken, the person consuming the media will no longer be able to ignore the rules of real life and will look at the media for what it's be if it happened in the real world.
Incest is OK in Greek mithology because we are adhering to its rule, but if a author retold a myth while also depicting the violent aspect of child abuse that usually comes along with incest, it would breaks your suspension of disbelief and you would no longer be able to over look, in that text, how Zeus and Hera are siblings, for example.
This happens here when suddenly the uke is in mroe pain than pleasure, he's limp, he's not confused, he wants only one thing, which is for it to stop. The pact was broken, I cannot adhere to that world-building rule, this is smut is no longer hot, it's uncomfortable, this is no longer an immersive experience, but somebody's work that seems to think that the real life horrible aspect of rape is just as hot as the fictional aspect of "it's just sex".
This some real shit. There’s always a line from real and fiction and that last ep just made it too real to the point that it just looks like mc is suffering
The author managed in one chapter to break the entire suspension of disbelief and ruin the magic of fiction.
It's It was fun with the blurred lines of consent in ch. 3, and then the idol realized he was being rapes and suddenly it wasn't any fun…
Of course if you still had fun that's fine, I'm only talking about how I consumed this media and why it was suddenly no longer fun:
I enjoy manipulative semes and gullible, naïve ukes, true, they make for good porn. But everything got way too real in ch. 4, like, baby boy wasn't even getting up no more and the only feeling he was showing was fear and nothing else.
