Why is Anita so pressed when it is her fault from the very start? Yes, some of you guys are saying that what she feels is valid coz she's young and blinded by love bla bla. But didn't the other mages/witches warned and stopped her but she still continued to be pushed around by the first emperor? She doesn't make any sense, to me at least. It's her fault from the very beginning when her life turned around she never once looked at herself, her dumb fucking self. Her "revenge" is really unnecessary. She is the reason why her kind went extinct.

I think the part of her backstory besides the personal betrayal of the first emperor is the basically genocide of her whole people. no matter if she was naive in believing that her lover was entitled to her power, this girl's entire people was wiped out. I agree that her revenge isn't justified for the personal grudge she is holding against the descendants of the first emperor and she shouldn't be tryna kill them, but considering the cover up in history books and systematic vilification of mages over hundreds of years, the current imperial family do share responsibility to try to make things right considering the crown Legina is trying so hard to pass down to her brother is only theirs because their ancestor took advantage of slaughtered and stole from a whole people which was followed by a cover up. if I was living in this world I might be team remove the imperial family from power. honestly the imperial family don't deserve their status that was possible through mass murder and if you think abt how this kind of stuff happens in the real world it's giving white colonization. like indigenous groups were literally mocked for being naive and generous with their possessions and never saying no because colonizers could not understand how a people could not be greedy for power and control. it reads rlly bad because of how systems are built today by exploiting people so that generations can reap the benefits into today's modern era. I love Legina and Theo, but they should not continue to profit off a genocide even if it took place hundreds of years before them. if she wanted to create a power struggle that would dismantle the crown, honestly I think she would be justified, but trying to kill a child is too extreme and her disregard of life is just continuing the circle of hate. lmao this got a little long but I love stories that are complex like this and I didn't expect it from a webtoon
