Tbh I liked this
They were both living a lie and both were lying not only to each other, but also themselves
To me all "romantic" interactions were underlined with a sense of falseness, like empty affection
In one panel Magnus acted like in love, than in the next one he was still full on the revenge plan
I don't think there was a single moment he clearly showed hesitation or any sign of questioning if going through the plan of imprisoning illiana in that cabin was ok
So to me the fact he never reconsidered revenge kinda defined the tone of all the other interactions he had with her
The romance and supposed "care" for her ended up as manipulation tactics to me
So I liked that she left when she finally realized that no, despite his actions and words, his revenge plan is still up and going
At some level I think she knew he hasn't forgiven her, but I don't think she was 100% aware of how ready the revenge plans were
Her leaving makes sense to me and I hope that their romantic relationship is better constructed in the future
