technically he could do it by himself it’s just that it’s a lot riskier and if he really wanted power by marrying cabellica it’s best not to mention “oh btw the sex would involve 2 other guys and me? I’d make sure everything goes well, of course i’m also here to assist” coz who would agree on that lol
In all fairness, he did say that sex was the method, not that he would be the one to do it personally. But the way he set up the contract, leaving out the unsavory and most importantly detail, he led the crown prince and us readers to assume he would be the one undoing the imprinting. A clever way to rip off someone. In the first place, the prince also intended to cheat on their deal, and he had anticipated that. This makes them more or less even. Though the ML seems to have been scheming all along, I love that the prince is not some pushover fool!
