Very vanilla, the writer doesn't try to reinvent the wheel. I don't really understand the vitriol for the FL since she's just a lady with severe low self esteem. They make the reference to Cinderella early on, but I don't really see it. The only resemblance is the step mother and that she married a powerful man, other than that they're not alike at all. Cinderella didn't have low self esteem and she wasn't poor either, her step mother was just stealing from her. Anyway no matter what the writer tries to do to save the grandpa's image he's still a Rumpelstiltskin who made the FL sign a contract that said he would take her kids if they divorced. WTF kinda contract is that?! How is that legal? Lastly the ML isn't worth a shit bc the same guy that called her easy bc he knew she had feelings for him, is the same guy who expected her to run after him after just her yelling at her and telling her to know her place.
