Yes like I get that we should point the red flags, but since I've been reading bl since years I feel like sometimes I don't take too seriously dub-con because most of bls with smut have it and if I took it seriously it would.ruin like 99% of yaoi, and I've noticed that yaoi Fans let so much pass to the point of literally ignoring rape (which is not okay) while with yuri everyone is so strict and they usually get mad at much less, idk I feel like we should find a middle ground, like point out the bad behavior but also remember that in Korea and Japan most of that dub-con is not even considered dub-con and that they find it hot (which is problematic) and at the end those scenes are a reflection of the culture and not the character
I didn't say I didn't care, I said I take it more that's because of the rape culture in Korea, and I used dub-con instead of SA, because if the other character IS enjoying, not like in actual real SA, there's many differences between the two, learn them, obviously dub-con ONLY is a term for fiction, which you should also learn what means. you're allowed to take it as seriously as you want, but for me if I let every dub-con (yes, dub-con and not SA), ruin a manhwa for me then I would only be able to enjoy non smut manwhas, I literally said that we should point out the problematic behavior (including, dub-con SA) but knowing that most likely that behavior wasn't even meant to be problematic in the author's head, we live different cultures and for them something that's so clearly dub-con or SA, is not while we can clearly see it as such, AGAIN, I take it as a reflection of their culture and not of a reflection of the characters so I don't let it interfere with how much I enjoy the work. If you want to take it as seriously as if it were real people then you do you, you're most likely not gonna enjoy any work with smut from Asia
Idc y'all i love them HAHAHAHAHA
