This is bullshit. She worked so hard for it and they just took it away from her and placed her where she doesn’t want to be without her consent and she just nods along with it. Bloody bullshit. If this were me I would have made it clear that no, I’m not doing this and I want compensation for the position you cost me.

where has she nodded along with it? the way the panels were drawn, its shown that she's feeling extreme dread rn. Also, have you never read another historical manga or manhwa ever? The orders of the royal family isn't something she can just refuse cause one, second placer she may be, she's just a destitute noble with no real power outside her school and two, orders of the royal family are absolute and if she refuses she may get accused of treason

I don’t know, I feel like she’d be able to protest at least some? I mean they probably wouldn’t want someone who isn’t fully dedicated to protecting the prince to be in charge of protecting him, so forcing her would be pointless? Plus the king didn’t like her in her previous life so he probably doesn’t like her here (ergo wouldn’t want her around his son). Plus, I feel like she has a lot of cards that she can pull out (I’m from a poor family so I’m no good for this, I want to work close to home (could fake needing to care for a sick family member or heck fake herself being ill), she’s in the poor people school not the fancy one etc). I understand that this was a shock for her, I’m just saying if it was me I would have immediately started protesting with the excuses. Well, to be honest I’m hoping she takes something like a gap year or just drops out of school at this point, but we all know she’ll go to the palace and drama will ensue.

you mean just complain? but thats the school head she's talking to, again, second placer she may be, she's still just a student and a destitute noble at that so she still has to be respectful to even her school head. Also it doesn't matter if she wants to or not, its the royal family's order, they know she's one of the best students so even if she doesn't want to protect the crown prince, she still needs to be competent because if the crown prince gets hurt while she's guarding him she's gonna get punished by either imprisonment of execution. Plus all those "cards" you say wont work lol, its the royal family, they'll probably just say "womp womp too bad, do we look like we care" because, again, she's just a destitute noble outside. She'll need to be investigated and she can't fake being sick for a long time and both schools are actually highly proclaimed and its actually mentioned that the national academy is harder and stricter than the royal academy. Also a gap year pretty sure that doesn't exist there, yeah it sucks what's happening but what can we do? the plots gotta move forward

It’s a fictional story. Written by an actual person. Where magic exists. I’m pretty sure applying real world logic to it is pretty pointless It’s not that serious. My point being, the title literally says “you won’t kill me this time, crown prince”, implying the main character will stay away from the crown prince yet the author chooses to force the main character to go to the crown prince and then end up with him despite choosing a title that states she will stay away from him. Again, this is fiction and the author makes all the choices. The list I made was meant as a list of things the author could have chosen to do in this kind of situation if they really wanted mc to be faced with this dilemma, but chose not to because everyone knows mc will marry the prince anyway. I’m just saying it’s an overused troupe to have a title say one thing and have the characters do the opposite with no opposition. I was just saying the author could have made her ant least try to fight this instead of looking sad and accepting it. Because the title implies she’ll fight tooth and nail to stay away from him. But she doesn’t. Again, it’s not that serious.
