what a dreadful manhwa it is. bruh. the art is okay, characters are miserable and do things that don’t make any sense to anyone. the plot is quite simple but tries to appear as something more than that. ml torments mc and then learns how innocent she was and he was wrong all along, his redemption arc starts. overused trope but here it is quite interesting cause she actually loses her mind and i love her character development even though her character isn’t written well, i love her path from “all i wanna do is make you miserable” to “i just wanna live peacefully”. he has just gone mad. i dunno, i don’t see why he would love LOVE her. i mean even if she’s the MOST BEAUTIFUL woman ever existed his character tries to be as rational and logical person. so far he hasn’t done anything rational or logical. like at all. picking fights with a 16-years old whose parents took part in your family’s death like she herself did it. like bro grow the fuck up. okay he doesn’t like her. but dude she’s your fiancé now, what’s with people wanting to fight with those they live with or obligated to spend time with. like why would you spend your energy fighting with a person you can’t do anything to. like yeah you told her how much you hated her so what? what is gonna happen? she magically would bring back your family or she would apologise for something she wasn’t part of and even aware of? wow. i mean it’s not like he or she can break it off. so what’s the point of fighting every time they see each other.
and when she started playing like she liked him a lot like de fak. why would you. i understand she had gone insane at that point but how that even made sense to her or him. why he even allowed her do so. like before he was like “don’t breathe the same air with me!” and he went to “pls don’t lie like that”.
his feelings even before when he was like “i feel something i don’t understand what but fuck it” didn’t make sense. like yeah of course as a human being you should feel sorry, apologetic and resentful but what’s with the live thing. like dude doesn’t know jackshit about her except the fact that she loathes him to death. how is it enough to like or LOVE someone.
after she runs away i understand his obsession tho, i think he drowned himself in guilt to the point he couldn’t bear it. like he realised that he’s no better that the emperor and that weird junkie uncle, it changed him and i think he sees her as the only person who’s forgiveness is gonna bring piece. while in reality even if she forgives him he’d probably not recover from what he has done. it just haunts him, he can’t forgive himself so he wants her to be there with him as a sign that he’s much better now cause now he’s taking care of her.
