I don’t know but i think the author wanted to make a different story where a victim of child abuse doesnt accept the love from their abuser. I believe Phil choice is also a right choice as why should she easily forgive the emotional abuse she was given by her father. Alot of manhwas depict children having to forcibly change either their souls or personalities just to be accepted which is wrong logically. So i reading this story gave me a wider perspective of how no matter how good the abuser is at present it still doesn’t change their horrid action. Whats done is done and no one should just forgive them because they change. Especially a child who had to force themselves to mature in such condition or had to change her whole identity( like look how phil is literally having an identity crisis cos she realize she never truly got to be herself and now is at lost of who she wants to be or wants to do)
