To be fair, he didn't want to get rid of Heesu. He wanted Heesu to find someone who loved him for being hinself, the way he deserves. We see him ponder on whether he feels the same way as Heesu and arrive at the conclusion that although he loves Heesu, his love is completely platonic. The way he went about doing stuff was immature, but that is due to the fact he WAS a kid. He knew that if he was upfront with Heesu that he knew about Heesu having a crush on him, it would just freak Heesu out and would also jeopardize their friendship.
i barely see him treating mc like a friend and not just someone he can go when he has a problem hmm
