100% agree with you, people are so quick to judge her character because 'shes not like the other FLs' in other manhwas. She wants to heal but the ML is stopping her from doing so, it definitely adds more plot to the story as well so idk why they want a quick happy ending, ignoring all the trauma the FL has been through.
I agree with everything you said. From many chapters ago, I've noticed the toxic attitude of the ml and annoyed with him. Moreover they're in arranged marriage, where there's no love involve until later. He also knows mc still does not get over her past relationship and trauma but keep guilt tripping her. You guys are so biased and never try to comprehend her actions. I bet some of you haven't gotten over your exes too
Oh look another woman apologist. Guess what? It's not hard to understand that women have flaws too. They make mistakes. She's made many, and so has he. My problem is that he could have died a beast. Instead she showed up and well the story happened. She's not the saint you all pretend she is and she's definitely not a "queen" (proving your irrational obsession which is biased and completely disturbing). A fucked up past (putting it VERY mildly) doesn't excuse ANYTHING. New life she chooses her behavior. Trauma fucks you up. She's fucked up. She's not innocent just because trauma has led her to traumatize someone else. Period. Neither one of them are innocent. If someone called him a dumb bastard you'd agree, but I call her a dumb bitch for how she's acting (which I call myself daily btw) and you scream and cry about misogyny lmfao make it make sense. Humans sympathize with different fictional characters. Crying about misogyny when people have legit complaints on BOTH SIDES invalidates your argument. I don't know if I'll reply to any novels in response, I don't have the energy. But I'm tired of venting my frustration at fictional characters making people like you splash piss all over with a tantrum you don't have the guts at @ me for. I love both characters, I'm mad at her for repeating the past instead of letting go like she seemed to be doing for MORE THAN HALF ThE STORY. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
You know what, Everything you said, @hqhaikyuu had said it. They mention that both parts are in the wrong and not innocent. Their arguments is that people 'mostly' targeted the fl, but blind themselves of ml's toxicity. The loudest comments are these people. The difference is we sympathize to different character. Yeah, I don't understand what you're mad about, because everything you said is the same as what the original commenter said.
Btw @s-j-m, you said that people don't have gut to @ you. However I can't even reply to your comment because of your settings.
so well said, these comments have been rubbing me wrong for a while now — romance readers really can’t handle any sort of barriers/obstacles of a relationship these days and the reactions towards this story is a prime example. why can’t we accept that they’re both being toxic for each other and that there needs to be time for them to learn, grow, and resolve these issues between themselves.
oh but ofc, it’s mainly her fault for not “getting over it” and falling head over heels for him immediately ( ̄へ ̄)
@s-j-m the fact that you’re coming into this comment thread and crying about how we’re “women apologists” is telling, did you even read the originally comment properly? also if a fictional character’s problems are causing you to expend THAT much energy in venting out of pure frustration (this is the 3rd comment i’ve seen from you) then maybe that’s a sign to step away. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Media literacy is so dead here. You hear Terriod being fully aware and intentionally hurting the queen (she's the queen to me idc), and somehow she's still cursed and called names here. Some of you are so brave with the continous misogyny behind anonymity, grabe. Not even an ounce of appreciation for the angst and story writing done.
Like the premise of this manhwa is not about her reincarnation after she just killed the love of her life and how it made her miserable and desperate, harboring so much complex emotions from that. That's the epitome and foundation of her character. And then she somehow need to be tied to a man that looks like the love of her life, so she's naturally going to be drawn to him, have internal struggles, and also struggle with that new man.
She's damn right to think trying to love him was a mistake and regretting staying by his side when he's been intentionally reopening her wounds. He's literally preventing her from healing which also prevents her from fully opening her heart to him. Although I love how toxic his character is, too. Don't get me wrong. It's nice to have petty male leads who don't support the female lead's healing and journey. However bad that sounds.
But the way she's been continously called names when no one ever targetted his ass like that. Fucking misogyny, I tell you. We get a complex and dynamic female character and you cannot stop hating on her, pause for once, and think how important her characterization is just because you all would like her to just get over her trauma, move on, and be happy with her new life. This is not a highschool shoujo slice of life story. Stop reading boring flat manhwas for once. Jesus.
The misogynistic comments in stories with women is so appalling, especially, knowing that some of the comments surely came from women themselves.
