Def feels like she needs to go to therapy bc she's not in love with him but just extremely attached to the concept of him and who he was to her as a kid. this has seriously stunted her social / romantic life for a decade now, it's actually concerning bc wdym she has NEVER allowed herself to be attracted to anyone who isn't the crush she had when she was in elementary school...
Honestly I find it weird that the fl is still in love with a teenager, it's a disturbing attachment , Especially because an adult woman thinks romantically about the figure of a little boy
