Ummm... 3 hours of studying isn't enough. If he's desperate to pass his exam but can't afford the cost of living he needs to go home live with his parents and focus on studying.

How come it lead to being privilege . There are cultures whose adult kids still lives with their parents until they're able to save up and live by their own or even get married. There are families in korea who does this too... Parents and kids working and supporting together to pay the bills and elevate one another's economic statuses.
My opinion is that Youngsoo should focus on his exam and pass it so he can practice filial piety and get things over.
Your hate towards him is valid as I do agree he is being a prick. Well that's his privilege he can fail as much as he want as he has a safety net. My take on is that he says things as a fellow who also failed the exam 3x and did not think of the difference of their economic statuses.
Honestly we don't even know the uke's family's economic situation. We don't know how he feels about having a college degree, yet doesn't have a permanent job and studying for the civil service exam yet failing it twice.
