I can understand the author having a few chapters with the ex husband to start up drama but this feels a bit excessive. Like why are we even doing this? And why does it feel like she’s being swayed by him? Why would her dad just let her be with her ex husband knowing how much he made her uncomfortable?? I don’t get it at all. I’m trying to push through this series but idk how much longer I can hold on

I agree it's hard to continue with all of the interactions that between her and her EX husband. She has horrible memories of him and now in this life they have nothing. I understand it's a plot thing but it's dragging and I don't think is going to end soon.

Some people said we won’t see Ian for a long time according to the novel and i absolutely hate that the MC just seems so dumb to me rn like it feels like betrayal

*slams table* Thank you! She's also so indecisive it makes me mad! If James wants to be a guard then treat him like a mf guard, let him walk a few steps back, ignore him as if he's not there and do not engage in any conversation. But what does she do? Drags him by hand, looks for him, buys him crepes and casually chats with him! That's some mixed signals girl and you better shape up or I'm dropping this bullshit.
