That the poison will not be used as originally intended and accidentally ingested by the wrong person! I know this isn't the same type of story but in the 'blades of the guardians', it was so damn satisfying when the daughter exacted revenge by pursuing and brutally killing the childhood friend/would be fiance for beheading her beloved father with no compunction whatsoever! All this dittering by lover boy. Already forgotten how he was forcefully defiled, used, and humiliated by the same person who murdered your family and made you a slave. But love and pleasure should win out- barf.
