soso sorry i grabbed the link and completely forgot to explain!! hopefully this helps you make more sense of the chapter <33
basically - they caught the thief, the thief claims jigu ruined his life because jigu dmed pics to the other gf of the thief cheating. the thief had borrowed hundreds from both women to buy expensive things, he lost his job and scholarship and was in debt to both women. this is why he has been stalking jigu, because jigu 'spread rumours' (the gf that jigu dmed made a post about the thief but did not keep her promise and revealed his name). then the thief denies being a thief but he’s stupid and literally admits to it. also he knew where jigu lives because he's in the student council, and he stole jigu's report card so he could expose his bad grades to get back at him. they threaten the thief, asking if he can afford a lawyer, they'll drop charges if he confesses etc. and then they walk off.
forward to mc and ml, ml explains he got a draft letter and decided to go to the military at the same time shit went down. completely unrelated to his bad grades being exposed (not running away like the thief thought loololo he literally doesn't gaf) and when he returned no one remembered him anyways.
ml explains how he thought mc was the stalker at first bc his actions were suspicious and they kept running into each other. also ml is worried he did something wrong by reporting the guy for two-timing, mc consoles him and says he didn't, he did the right thing. this is such a cute interaction bc this is the most ml has ever said to mc LOL, a complete 180 in his personality!
ml nervously asks mc what person he thinks he is, what if he's different from the personality mc knows? but mc doesn't mind bc they don't know each other, there are sides of ml he hasn't seen yet, but all sides of ml are still ml. and then jigu gets shy lmaoo and in the manhwa says see u at the guild which means !! he knows who mc is !!! and that's also the end of vol 2 in the novel :)
