Right? I feel the same. A lot of details, like Asha going back to Pervaz, Carlisle demanding proper reward for her even though emperor tried to be sneaky and stingy again, emperor caring more about his wife corresponding with high priest than betraying empire, the ex royal mistress sleeping with a doctor to obtain information. So many details are missing, it was super rushed

So true. Also, last chapter they made it seem like Carlisle was genuinely somewhat agreeing with causing that war to be the right thing to do which also never happened in the novel and is just messed up. I would say, also overall, the writing in the novel and webtoon of the characters is pretty inconsistent and downgrading every chapter. Like the whole war trope really lowered the quality of everything: Baron going unpunished and getting a happy ending, Carlisle letting it slide even though he was supposed to be portrayed as rational and good leader, Asha forgiving it as well even though it goes against everything she believes in, not to mention it was useless and brought nothing into the story due to rebellion happening anyways.

I recommend you do give the novel a go. It isn't perfect but it does a much better job at explaining the story, expanding on what the characters are thinking and feeling. If you want to read from the current chapter then 119 of the novel is where Asha catches Giles speaking to some stranger and confronts him, ending up with the fight between her and the prince. You can find the novel on moonlightnovels.
In comparison to the novel this chapter felt rushed. The scene with Viviana, his sisters and the dark gates is more expanded in the novel and shows off more of what the characters are thinking and feeling.
