She’s too busy comparing Ruby to her mother which has always been the problem. Their mother didn’t want help and was beyond saving. Whereas Ruby has been practically begging for help since she arrived.

I read the novel ahead of this and I can only say, I won’t easily forgive these people for ignoring red flag behavior even after knowing the truth already (and just won’t tell ML about everything even though I know ML won’t misunderstand FL but dang it could help a lot)! both freya and ellen r pissing me off. like ik ellen isnt supposed to be hated on or whatever but i genuinely feel like she could be doing so much more to help or comfort or just DO SOMETHING for the fl but instead she doesn't even properly confront freya. I'm starting to hate her a little tbh.
