Freya doesnt like ruby so she wouldnt care even if she did notice the changes with ruby because she wants izek, ellen knows somethings wrong with ruby which is why she went to the bathroom this ch. In the novel it was clarified that ellen went to make sure Ruby wasnt purging or anything, and Izek hasnt seen Ruby since before her brother kissed her so he wouldnt be able to tell until after the tournament.
Izek does know somethings of with Ruby and the cardinal, he just doesn’t know what exactly, he’s seen her scars, he know someone else has hurt her continuously, other than the story she told him of her childhood, he noticed she started lying more and fake smiling again when her brother came to town, his instincts told him something was off, so he asked Ellen to keep an eye on not just ruby but her and the cardinal, and he said it in a way that even Ellen became worried, even tho at the time she still didn’t believe in ruby, so even though she wants to think it’s about her purging, she too was picking up something weird about the cardinal, even izeks guards, although they seemed conflicted, the blond one knew that something was off because Ellen and Izek were already worried.
So yh I have a feeling the moment Izek sees that dead look in Ruby’s eyes, he’s gonna go beserk, especially after he worked so hard to remove that look from her.
On another not I heavily suspect the cardinal knew they were being watched and kissed her on purpose for them to see and for it to get back to Izek to provoke him, it seems like a political move, and when the red head priest came to tell him something, I wonder if he was telling him Freya told Izek, it’s not like she was quiet, and if he was watching Izek, as a spy waiting for this exact thing to happen… then Freya wasn’t wrong, they were up to something but she’s the catalyst, she should’ve listened to Ellen and waited until after the match smh.

Yeaaah I just skimmed the novel cuz I didnt wanna ruin reading the manhwa but all I got was that Izek never doubts Ruby anymore which is good, just wish he put a guard on her or something also I meant to say Ellen not Freya earlier lol but yeah I cant remember if that guy was telling the cardinal abt Freya telling Izek or if he was telling him abt something to do with the battle
Same I haven’t read the novel either but I saw a comment after reading this that says ruby was more rude the cardinal in the novel and posted the link, I saved it to read later but I don’t wanna ruin the manhwa experience.
The translations were a mess early on but yh I got all that from how they were acting, cause he did technically put a guard on her, but he couldn’t be obvious because she told him it was fine and the bloody politics Kmt, but yh Ellen and Blondy were doing pretty shitty jobs of keeping an eye on Ruby
oh and Ellen for sure knows, the was she reacted like she was at first doubting her, but then she couldn’t sleep because she knew just how much ruby is like her mother, and seeing ruby like that that night definitely cemented it for Ellen, it’s why she was so harsh with Freya in the bathroom instead of letting her off.. eeee I can’t wait!! ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ To see what come from all of this and honestly the random Queen and Princess storyline
I don’t really get why ppl don’t stop to think that maybe something else is going on with the cardinal and ruby, especially Freya and Izek…Freya has seen her ed and Izek has seen her whip markings, and then now after the kiss idk how Freya doesn’t notice the change in Ruby’s demeanor…but I guess its easier to say this when we r just the readers and we can see it all clearly
