Asking and getting replies from real people means someone else has already read that title and most likely enjoyed it enough to recommend, it’s better than searching blindly, atleast I think that’s the most obvious reason why

I mean there's always the story description itself, ratings and people giving reviews but yeah I get your point
nah but it's so much easier to do so and I'm talking about those kinds of manga where there's like only 5 or 4 mangas similar to it
Yeah, but reading 10 different descriptions versus getting one direct “this one! read this one it’s just what you want” is much more exact, sometimes the tags and descriptions just don’t give you what you need to know about a story

for me it’s cuz i can’t do multiple tags at once, like for example; black hair with glasses with a dark storyline and it has to be manhwa. kinda more specific than tags and a bit harder to find as a list so i resort to comments
My take is people don't really make use of the tags and don't know how helpful it can get

Bc sometimes when u search up a tag there's thousands of mangas/manhwas under it and good ones might not always be the first ones or u might hv already read the ones in the first pages and going deeper and deeper into the pages take sm time
do you ever wonder sometimes why people just don't search up tags of what kind of manga they like to read instead of asking for recommendation. I mean I do it too but I'm talking about like very specific of what they want (like tattoo, feet smell fetish or sumn)
