From what I remember, there's no chasing arc, just character development. However, the ML let MC go home to America for his safety, and they didn't see each other for five months or so, I can't recall the exact duration. The MC was excited to see him, so I can't say it was a chasing arc. Anyways, I think they were already a couple before this happened because they confessed their feelings in Hawaii.
