No its okay to think that way because i also heard of -tan used in a way like -san
At first i wasn’t bothered by this but there was a webtoon where the korean author “I Have Become the Heroes' Rival” used tan skin as a motive of making a white person look indifferent and create a 2nd personality where they become cold. And of course existing manhwas other there have tan or black skin used in ways to make antagonists.
I honestly prefer if tan or black skinned characters be used normally like white skin male leads in other manhwas like Isaac from The Villainess's Stationary Shop
I almost dropped this when FL named ML “Tan” because maybe I thought she meant it the demon king uses black magic and have a dark aura and that was just so racist of the author and FL but felt revealed it came from Satan even though i hate that name irl lmao
Sorry i had enough of korean authors being racists to tan and black and tanned people. They always use dark skinned people to be evil or used in a cool way and dark personality then revert them back being white when they turn normal
