I know I'm not the only one who doesn't think Durian smells bad

Agree didnt even know people thought it smells bad until i went overseas

cause it really was not imo, just a strong smell. I feel like there's other kinds of fruits that smellier or makes us smell bad

or ppl who doesn't eat or new to durian just exaggerates it, IT LITERALLY TASTE SO GOOD AND THE STRONG SMELL SMELLS GOOD TO ME

Those who hadn't seen it will have read it smells like 'sewer', so if they smell it for the first time, their brain will try the hardest to relate it to the smell of sewer. T_T

I guess it differs by ppl, personally when U was a kid I used to hate Durian but I didn't think it smells bad. I was just influenced by other ppl who scared me by saying it doesn't taste good that I began to doubt. But after tasting it years later, it's actually so good

I love the smell and the taste of durian. I agree it doesn't smells bad it smells sweet to me <3

I think it's a gene difference, not brainwashing. For example for most people diesel smells gross, but for a few people with an uncommon gene it smells sweet. Or like some people think cilantro tastes like soap while it tastes herbal to most people.
