Yeah! I guess the thing for me is I'm happy to read toxic stories, but my pet peeve is when they pretend to be wholesome. We definitely weren't given enough information here to even give Seiji the benefit of the doubt because he's simply portrayed as right even though he does awful things to his partner. Like, not being trusted sucks, but expecting unconditional trust without considering what your partner actually is feeling and going through is wild.
Excuse me for talking like this was a real person, but. The side story in chapter 5...
Bro, I know it sucks to not be trusted, but all you're doing is taking Noto for granted and not communicating with him. That was entirely shitty.
First the not batting an eye at Noto asking for some distance because you don't even take him seriously, and then manipulatively asking for a break yourself to prove a point instead of just talking to your boyfriend like an adult.
It's just wild how one-sided this relationship is. "It feels bad not to be trusted" - and what signs exactly have you given Noto that you're even trustworthy, it's not a one-way street. I guess the point here is actually, yeah, Noto needs to work on his insecurity, but what exactly are YOU doing to show your partner you care?
Seiji gives me the same vibes as my ex who "just" cheated "a little" early in the relationship and then implied jealousy on my end was a toxic trait lol
