i read this all in one go up to the most recent chapter. i will say, although the premise was promising, the execution was rather disappointing. of course this is simply my opinion so don’t go arguing with my review of the story. lina knew from the start what evelina’s fate would’ve been, yet i feel like she was so stupid about it. not to mention, the romance feels so forced. i don’t understand how they all fell in love with her. i don’t mind harems, but i hate harems where they all magically fall in love with her without much building. sure, you can say leon fell for her because she was a “bold and interesting” woman, but what else? that’s it? it’s like after that, suddenly he was head over heels, especially after sleeping with her. aslan? sure it’s because they had a contract but where did the romantic feelings come from??? from sleeping with her?? we had moments where she would cuddle and rub his head and he would like it, but that’s it? that’s what made him fall in love? and the commander? supposedly he hated lina but now he’s in love? and i get it, it’s because she’s different. but it literally took so little effort. we could’ve had a great enemies to lovers arc but it was watered down. i WISHED we would’ve gotten way better, more thought out romantic development between all of the male leads and the main character. also, lina knew she would lose her power, yet she did nothing to stop or protect herself? we had one chapter where she learned swordsmanship and then she used it to barely defend herself from that one guy. like ? it was a poorly thought out plot device that was tossed away. where was the rest of her training? lina is stupid and weak and she’s the type of female lead who relies on the male leads. the art was gorgeous and i was already too deep in to drop, i’ll finish the story until the end but from everything so far, it was a mediocre read, 3/5 stars.
